Airport Identification & Security Access Control Cards (ISACC) Requirements
Under the Cayman Islands Airports Security Programme, and in compliance with the National Aviation Security Programme of the Cayman Islands, a permanent Identification & Security Access Control Card (ISACC) can and will only be issued to:
- An employee of the aerodrome
- An employee of an organization who is required to engage in activities at or within the aerodrome on a daily basis, and who has resided in the Cayman Islands for more than six (6) months.
- This is provided the Senior Manager responsible for Security is satisfied that the organization is reliable and reputable.
- Cayman Islands Law Enforcement Officers
The issuance of an ISACC will only occur once ALL of the following requirements have been complied with:
- Submission of a completed application form
- Current, local criminal record certificate (no older than one month and original document only)
- If applicant has resided in Cayman Islands for less than two (2) years, a criminal record certificate from previous country/city of residence WILL be required; no older than two months & original document only.
- Letter from employer stating why access is needed to restricted zones within the aerodrome, confirmation from the employer that the employee meets the requirements laid down in the NASP Part 6 Chapter 3 for non-security staff and that the required records are maintained
- Character reference from three (3) reputable persons within the community; one of whom must be the applicant's previous employer. In the event that applicant has had no previous employer a letter of reference from a third reputable member of society will suffice.
- NOTE: ALL letters of reference MUST contain the current address and telephone number of its author for CIAA verification purposes.
- NOTE: Any letter produced from an immediate family member will not be accepted.
- Provision by applicant of two independent means of personal identification; one of which MUST be the applicant’s passport. The other proof of ID, preferably being a valid Driver’s License, Voters Registration Card, Gainful Occupational License Card (Immigration Work Permit Card).
- When applicable, applicant must demonstrate that they speak, read, and comprehend the English language clearly.
NB: Any application that is submitted and found not to contain all of the required data and supporting documentation will be denied and the applicant will be required to re-file their application along with the required filing fees.
